Pray for Nepal
Last month i was in Nepal with my better-half. I have live my life's some beautiful & memorable moments here and capture some good memory and now everything is massacre it is so painful. Its shocking to see yesterday's debacle in Nepal. Feel really sorry for the departed souls.God bless.
I am heart broken by this news of earthquake in Nepal. It is hard for me to believe that last month i have spend my life's some beautiful moments here in Nepal and now Hundred of Lives lost, Heritage sites crumbled down to the ground. After checking all my photographs which I have taken in Nepal and the crumbled photos of heritage sites in Nepal on internet i got upset. I was there at the same location at the same building last month and now that building was crumbled down to the ground. Kathmandu durbar square is situated in the heart of Kathmandu city. This place is fully surrounded by local markets. restaurants & hotels.
Bhaktapur is a "living Heritage" displaying the vibrant depth of Newari culture. The main square of the city, is a conglomeration of stone art, metal art, wood carving and terracotta art and architectural showpieces. The golden gates, siddhi laxmi stone temple, taumadhi square, Durbar square and peacock window are the main attractions of Bhaktapur. This amazing city is not only displaying you its century old fabulous art, architect and cultural heritages but also offer its unique eastern hospitality, delicious newari cuisines, luxurious accomodation, unforgettable handicraft souvenirs, various restaurants, hotels, guesthouses, home stays and curio shops respectively.
Pashupatinath is the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal. The temple is an old architecture building and is surrounded by a big park. behind is a big lake. the temple says and ask only hindu to visit inside the main campus. the temple also has a lot of monkeys around. you will see many smaller shrines and the cremations on one side of the Bagmati Rivier, and priests ministering to the faithful on platforms on the other side. This was the highlight of our cultural tour of Kathmandu.
It's located on the top of a hill, overlooking the city of Kathmandu. What really interests me is the harmony embedded by this temple. Gods/Goddesses from Hinduism and Buddhism are worshiped at the same place and even some saints are both. Religious separation doesn't exist in this place and people are inspired to achieve universal wisdom. How wonderful!
The Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath dominates the skyline. The ancient Stupa is one of the largest in the world. The influx of large populations of refugees from Tibet has seen the construction of over 50 Tibetan Gompas (Monasteries) around Boudhanath. As of 1979, Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you visit this place at morning You can find a number of devotees and young lamb's chanting. This place will amazed you by the vibes and peacefulness. Walk around the Stupa is a very new experience for me. The Stupa itself is very beautiful, bedecked with prayer flags and having delightful little triangular gardens within the outer walls. It is principally Tibetan, and there is a monastery overlooking the Stupa.
I write this review to remember how wonderful Patan Durbar square was. Last month only i have visited this place and now this amazing place was destroyed by earthquake. One of the most amazing heritage site in Nepal was destroyed by earthquake. buildings are amazing, heritage Hindu kingdom. There are a number of historic temples including some extraordinary erotic carvings on one of the temples in a traditional South Asian style. The square also houses the Patan Museum, which is simply amazing. It is easy to walk from here to the nearby Mahabuddha temple. There are fairly regular religious processions and performances in the square as well.
