A few days ago I visited Rajasthan, According to my plan my budget was 8k for 2 person for 4 days and This journey made me feel a new experience.The journey from Delhi to Jaisalmer Jodhpur was very long, so I had already got train,s tickets , I had not traveled by train so long for many years, so I was very tired, Incidentally, the place I had booked was be so nice to stay, I could not believe that this trip would be so cheap.
Around 10:00 am we reached Jodhpur railway station, did auto and we reached our stay in aura b&b homestay I didn't know that place was so beautiful.After resting for 2 hours, we went for a roam around the place toor ji ka jhalra & Mehrangarh Fort. It was so big that we spent the evening roaming around there.
After some snacks of jhodpur special mirchi vada in ghnta ghar market. We back to our stay.Homestay owner praful Bhaiya with name aura_homestay, where we stay for 2 days in 2000 only. The aunt, she also made such a delicious dinner for us .Mouth watering as soon as thinking about it😋. गरम गरम कढ़ी 😋❤️.And that's how our day ends today. I will drop his insta account in end.
The next day there were far enough places to roam. We took Scooty on rent for 1 day from Mahadev travel agency near railway station.
Scooty is well maintained,We covered the whole day on scooty. Our first place is jaswant thada Beautiful memorial in marble often described as the “Taj Mahal of Marwar” was built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant. then we roam around "Kalyana lake" it's beautiful 8km lake & One of the biggest lake of jodhpur.
In the evening, lakes beauty increases even more.. Kaylana lake is the sole source of drinking water to the city ,you can do boating also in the lake .Charges are 100 200rs per person. After some snacks Reached Mandore Gardens ultimate architecture. Phenomenal stone carvings. Big garden and a temple. Can be included in Jodhpur trip. Appx 10 km from city 20-25min drive. Parking is also available. Sun plays majestic role in taking pictures. The best place is explore here is Umaid Bhawan but because of covid entry is closed. But still all the places are worthy.
End of the day we explored Market clock tower of Rajasthan is situated in the centre of Sadar Bazar, which is a busy shopping site for traditional clothes, jewellery and also there are plenty of mouth watering street food here, including Shahi samosa and Arora chaat bhandar. In a way this is the centre of Jodhpur, from where you can reach other popular locations. The stepwell is also walking distance from Ghanta Ghar.
You can also see Mehrangarh Fort from a distance. It is a super busy location, the best way to explore it is by walking. At night the street along with the clock tower is lit, making it more beautiful!
Next morning at 7:00 am we had a train from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer.Praful Bhaiya got up early in the morning and got tea for us.I don't think anyone cares about you anywhere.That someone wakes up in the morning for your tea only The respect and honour that he and his family have given to us touched my heart. We reached Jaisalmer at around 1:00 pm. On reaching there we had lunch first.After that we hire scooty for 2 days from near fort gate and we left for Sam Sand dunes camping after 40 mins driving we checked into camp around 3.30pm. after some rest We took a camel ride and Desert Safari. Dessert safari is so adventurous. I recommend to all its totally worthy and you should go for it 101% bina sochey.
When we came to see the Sunrise, breakfast was waiting for us. Around 7.30 pm our entertainment preparations start with folk dance, fire show, songs and dance, Gazals .Living in tent and doing safari on thar is one of the main highlights. Parasailing and other activities you can do here.
In camping package your eve snacks , camel safari and dinner breakfast all in one is included in package so don't worry about budget .My camping cost is 2500 for 2 persons.
After checking out at 10:00 am we left for Jaisalmer city . Roaming start with jaislmer fort. The fort is so vibrant. Jain Temple is a must visit there, also you should visit Vishu and Shiva temple. The temple Architecture is in medieval design.
At Night the Fort looks fantastically awesome.
Interesting Fact- it’s only fort in India where families still live inside almost 400 families still live inside. It is like a small city itself. A lot of local handicrafts shops are also inside this fort.
In Fort 7 Jain temples built by yellow sandstone and there are many elaborate havelis carved from yellow sandstone.
Amar sagar and gadisar lake are the places you should go in the evening.at 6.30 puppet show is also going there near gadisar lake enjoy your evening and had lunch and dinner inside the fort in Paradise restaurant thali cost is around 300rs enough for 2 perosns.View from restro is mesmerizing.
Somethings you need to remember before going on this trip are :
Carry water bottel every where to save money unnecessary spend on water.
Carry your blanket if you are traveling by train sleeper class is best for budgeted person
Take extra bag if your are a shopoholic.
Do your breakfast heavy as maybe you may not find your choice of food during the places you visited.
