A cultural and historical beauty, Neemrana fort palace is located on route myriad places of tourist importance. If you are looking to cover the cities and places around Delhi/Jaipur/Alwar on a vacation or for fun a weekend getaway, Neemarana won’t disappoint you. This property is one of the oldest and best heritage resort in Rajasthan, and will surely take you on a grand experience which will truly immerse you back into the past five centuries.
Last year, two of my college friends and I decided to go on a road trip to this amazing place to celebrate one of my friend’s birthday. It was a pretty smooth drive from Delhi and we reached Neemarana within three hours. We were welcomed warmly and every staff member went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed at ‘Munna Mahal’ and loved it to bits! I’d like to go back and stay in the same room again. Our room had a private balcony with a magnificent view of amphitheatre.
Exploring this resort is great fun. There are gardens that appear suddenly as you walk down a narrow stairway, there are mesmerizing view points that spring up on you just as you are finding your way into the dinner/lunch venue. The converging pathways to all the rooms are very intriguing. We all enjoyed our evening high tea with the best sunset view point of the fort.
On the weekends the fort palace hosts an evening of entertainment at their beautiful amphitheatre. These are usually cultural performances, which showcase local performers and their talents. Apart from our country’s leading musicians and dancers, even foreign artists perform here. Don’t miss the chance to watch traditional folk performances here during your visit.
They mainly serve widespread of North-Indian dishes. But South Indian, French, Italian, Chinese and Thai dishes are also often added to enrich the range of buffet spreads giving us the experience of fine dining at the Jalgiri Mahal.
The next morning, we had booked ourselves a zip lining tour with Flying Fox, Neemrana. It took us approximately 2.0-2.5 hours to complete this zipline tour. This included approximately 20 minutes up hill hike to the beginning of Zip 1 and 20 minutes for the safety briefing. It also included rest breaks and short hikes between the 5 zip lines. The instructors were really helpful and kept us motivated all throughout the tour. They also offer free Neemrana Fort entry 1 hour before and 1 hour after your zip tour. This zip tour is India’s first new aerial adventure and also a must experience for everyone coming here.
This will not be your average luxury hotel room stay experience, this is much more than that and will leave you wanting to come back for more. God knows how much I’m waiting to visit this place again!
