Day 2

Next day I had a Tea and moved towards Jodhpur. When I was a child I had a image of Rajasthan in my head that it is no more than sand and dust. People live in scortching heat. On the Contrary I found it quiet amusing and mesmerizing. The NH which I had taken was all in the middle of mountains and lush greenery. Its beauty could be compared to colorado.

I had a clear picture in my mind that I would not cover more than 250 km in a day since I was riding fast I stopped at a shop which sells, Mawa namkeen and tea.

Ganpat Ram Jat was the owner of the shop. Who quite ovious from my attire asked where am I heading. I told him about my plan to travel India. He got dumb mouth for few seconds and then we continued our conversation. Ganpat Ram was a decent man who seems to be satisfied with his life. There was a unusual charm and happiness on his face. Even though his shop was empty his soul seems to full of satisfaction. Innocence on his face and sweetness on tounge.

Later, we were joined by 2 young man from nearby village and again the usual question with the usual answer. Where am I heading? Both of them looked on map like they have never seen a man carrying a map. Initially they thought I am a journalist and would write about them. Later is true.

One of them asked me how much this motorcycle did cost me. I replied. 1.51 Lakh. Quick reply came .."Itne paise hote to Rajasthan police mai nahi chale gye hote". I laughed a loud

I said good bye to Ganpat and moved towards Mehrangarh Fort. This beautiful fort is on the top of the mountain. If you are going on your own then there are several options available to take you there. For indian Travellers and tourist the ticket would cost 100 INR which is little expensive if you compare it with other historical places.

Whole jodhpur could be easily seen from the edge of the fort. Evening are the best time to feel the breeze on your face and enjoy the sunset. A little chirping of the bird would add musical moment in your experience. I would suggest all of my reader to sit and feel the environment, aura and vibes of the palace. "Dont rush at all". The museum has different rooms where king use to spend his time with his ministers.

Different rooms are made for sleep and watch cultural events. The best one is the place where "Mujra" use to took place. Its beauty was so magnificent that I could not take my eyes off from it. All the glasses are painted in different unique colour. I am sure you will not find it anywhere in India.

On my way I paid 100 INR to a man who were playing Ravanhatha and played "udja kale kawan for me". If you would like to watch the video Please visit my Instagram account @sanjayrai_offficial. Then I decided to leave the place on its own and moved towards Udaipur. On my way, constant thought was running in my mind. Where would I sleep tonight. I really didnt want to spend money.

I stopped at one of the road side shop to have milk. In reality just having a milk was not my motive at all. I saw few charpai at the shop. I increased the familarity with the lady owner and completely ignored her husband. I knew If I would be able to convince her. No one wil be able to overrule her decision to escpecially her husband. Infact, No man on this planet can deny the unasked request of his wife. The moment i got the opportunity I asked her to sleep there overnight. The lady was so happy to sell all this happening and let me sleep there with her 2 small childrens along with wasim who happened to be a servant of them. Mission accomplished.

The children brought me the food from their home. Somehow the elder boy got engaged in verbal fight with wasim. I tried to settle down the matter. In Midnight I saw wasim sitting in the middle of Highway which made me afraid because he was drunk. Random thoughts came into my mind. What would the people of village think if he would die in a road accident today. I saw him walking in the morning. I took a deep breathe.
