“The abode of clouds”

Meghalaya was our first destination on the trip,We got down at Guwahati airport which is in the state of Assam and is considered to be gateway to, the beautiful North east. We hired a cab to Shilong, which is the capital of Meghalaya. We had our negotiation’s with the cab driver, for him to take us around Meghalaya and our Journey began.

Cherrapunji

Cherrapunji was our Pit stop and the drive from Shillong to Cherapunji makes you feel that name Meghalaya(the abode of clouds) in sanskrit, was very apt for the state.Tucked away in East Khasi Hills, the place will certainly mesmerize you with lush greenery, beautiful landscapes and waterfalls, the clouds will make you feel that they are well within you reach,no photos can do justice to the frames which you see and the memories saved in your brains. This place has no substitute you have to bee there to see it and believe it.

Day2(Dwaki,Living root bridge,Mawlynnong)

We started of the day early so that we could cover all of the place’s and time being of the essence. Our first destination was Dwaki a small village bordering Bangladesh. This part of the country is still untouched by rapid modernization. lush green forest all over the terrain, you can see the plain’s of Bangladesh across. Dwaki had out curiosity heightened courtesy google for those breath taking pictures of the crystal clear water’s which were viral on the internet.Nature had some different plans for us it had rained recently, which brings with it a lot of silt so we were deprived of that scenic beauty.
