Haunted to us is just a single term for a lady dressed in a white Saree with a candle lit in her hand. We imagine her approaching towards us while she speaks something. 

It sounds funny! Isn't it? Well that's not just about it. There is more to the mysteries and haunted places of India. Some get scared. Some do not. 
Some are fond of horror stories.Some get disturbed even with the thought of it. We tell you about the 5 haunted places in Rajasthan. In Fact there are haunted forts in Rajasthan.Curious ones can plan their visit and the rest can simply read and enjoy! 
1. BHANGARH FORT -
Who hasn't heard of this ever so famous fort. Bhangarh Fort is one of the most visited haunted places in Rajasthan.
The fort is a government property that is kept  publicly open for tourists. The 17th century fort is a popular tourist attraction because of the rumours of it being the top most haunted place in Rajasthan. Made of stones and bricks,the fort was built by Navratans on the hills of the Sariska Reserve border situated in Alwar District.Though the fort is in ruins now but everything has been preserved. The location of the fort is mesmerizing with the nature at the fingertips, greenery all around,lakes and ponds,lush trees and hills by the side. Bhangarh Fort is a 300 km drive from the Capital and has good weather conditions. The tourist should carry with them all sorts of things incase of a bad weather/heavy rains. The ruined fort is rumored to have paranormal activities happening at night mostly which is why its popular. 
For the safety of the tourists the fort has a board at the entrance that mentions the visiting hours. Nobody is allowed to enter the site after sunset or before sunrise as they say the one who entered was never found.
A lot of stories have been told and discussed about the fort for but the reality is still a mystery about this haunted place in Rajasthan.

2.KULDHARA VILLAGE -
Making to the spot number 2 is the Kuldhara Village located 17kms west from Jaisalmer,Rajasthan. The village is renowned to be one of the haunted places in Rajasthan. A lot of ghost hunters and tourist visit the village for the story behind the village being haunted. It is a ghosted village and the adjoining 85 villages are also vacant. Nobody lives in those 85 villages including the Kuldhara. 
This is a 300 year old story that lead to paranormal phenomenon. True or not, we just dont know. 
It is believed that Salim Singh,the Prime Minister of the state while on his visit to the village fell for a beautiful girl who was the daughter of the head of the village. Villagers were against the idea of this marriage but Salim wanted to marry the girl by hook or by crook. He imposed heavy taxes on the villagers and also threatened them in order to marry her. The villagers decided to leave the village because of the unjust rules and restrictions imposed on them. While they abandoned the village suddenly they gave a curse to Kuldhara. The curse was that no one could ever settle down in that village and the adjoining ones after they all leave together. Till date the village is barren and without anybody residing there. Whosoever tried and stayed was chased by paranormal activities. This is why it is a ghosted village. 
The moment we enter ithe village one can feel uneasy and uncomfortable. It gives a very haunting and sad look. The village is in ruins now but the aura remains the same. Barren.Haunting.
3. BRIJ RAJ BHAVAN -
Brij Raj Bhavan is a palace in Kota,Rajasthan that is a haunted place in Rajasthan and popular for the same. Rahasthan is a state that was ruled by kings and rulers at a very lavish level and for a very long time. The name of the state itself states that it is the Land of Kings and it surely was. Palaces and forts were what described the state.But a few palaces and forts are one of the scariest places to visit in the state or infact India. The palace of Kota is now a heritage hotel with an invisible guest at night. The guest stays there free of cost,is harmless ad does no physical damage to the fort.The ghost is an employ of the British Residency at Kota. He was the enemy of Indian Sepoy ad thus he was killed along with his family. Thereafter the incident he is said to have hover around the hotel. 
4.JAGATPURA -
 Jagatpura is situated in Jaipur. This place is currently a residential area and very less travelled by ghost hunters and tourists. It is rumoured to be one of the ghosted places of Jaipur. According to the stories the place has encountered paranormal activities. Witches can be seen during nights. It is comsidered to be the haunted place in Rajasthan.
5. SUDHABAY -
Sudhabay is located in Pushkar,Rajasthan. This place is a cure to all the evil spirits that get caught inside humans. People come to Sudhabay to get rid of the evilness inside them by taking a bath in the well. Water of the well is considered holy as it helps to get rid of the evil spirits inside. This is performed only once in a year and popularly known as "Ghost Fair" making it to the list of the haunted places in Rajasthan.
