Day 1

A sudden plan, and a beautiful trip started from Banswara, Rajasthan. In morning, we reached to Osian, a vibrant town with years old temples. After getting ready, we visited Sacchiyayi Mata Temple . It is believed that this temple was 1000 years old, and carving on the temple and it's architecture justifies it. There are also lately made temples of "NavDurga" and many devotees came here in Navratri. After that we visited the ancient jain temple which also has similar type of architecture. After taking breakfast, we left for another Jain tirth, Nakodaji. With the beautiful red stone mountains and deserted landscape alongside on the road, we reached Nakodaji at 5.30PM. We did the night stay here.

Day 2

We started our day 2 by visiting the Nakodaji Temple, and worshipped here. Visited nearby jain temples and around 12Pm, we left for the much awaited place Bera, Jawai. As a travel photographer, I am very excited for the Jawai, as it is known for the leopards. In the evening , around 4.00 PM, we reached Jawai, where we had pre-booked the Tents at Thour Nature Resorts. The staff was ready to welcome us. It is a beautiful location surrounded by hills. After setting up our tents, we are ready for our scheduled leopard safari at 5PM. There are two timings of safari here, Morning and Evening
Though the resort manager suggested to us that we should take an evening safari as there is more of a chance of leopard sighting in the evening. In winters, there is peak season here so Noon safari also starts at that time. And if you want to see more leopards, you should visit in winters, but the drawback is you will get more crowds here. So, we started our safari with Ranger Ramesh Bhaiya. He is so humble and full of knowledge. Firstly we visited the Jawai Dam, which has very less water level as it is summer time. So we saw many crocodiles here and some birds like flamingoes, Ibis and interestingly a pair of Sarus cranes (As I saw them only in winters as they are migratory birds). There is an amazing landscape of hills. From there we went to leopard sighting spots. And this was a real adventure safari as it is totally off road. Sometimes he climbs the gypsy on uneven hills so that we can spot leopards. After waiting sometimes at a spot, we are lucky to get sighting of a female leopard and 2 cubs but they are on top of another hill. But our ranger said that they will come down after sometime so he told us to wait and around 8.30 PM we got the close sighting of leopards. And seeing them so close was an amazing experience. After completing our safari we get back to the resort and they arrange our dinner at the hill top. The food was delicious and the staff here are very good in hospitality. The manager personally takes care of everything we need. After the memorable day m, amazing safari experience, and dinner beneath the sky full of stars we get into our tents to relax.

Day 3

On the last day of our trip, We get early to witness the sunrise from the hill near our resort.  There was an amazing experience to spend the morning in a tranquil place. In time we are getting ready, the resort staff prepare our breakfast and we had a delicious breakfast in a luxurious tent. Now it's time to say goodbye to this beautiful place. And from there we left for banswara, our home town while taking a stop and a short visit to Sajjangarh fort, Udaipur. And enjoyed the paranomic view of the city of lakes. In evening we reached banswara with beautiful memories.
