This trip to Narajole involves a  sad experience of mine. I was both hurt and angry to see how a magnificent Palace and its structures have been gradually going into ruins because of the sheer neglect and carelessness of the Government.
It was supposed to be a happy trip. Palaces and historical structures have always excited me.I was really excited. It was around 30 km bikeride from Ghatal(Paschim Medinipore district). The ride was really good. Road and connectivity was there to enjoy. But the pleasure and thrill was short lived.
I am not here to talk about the information. One would easily find them in a Wiki page. I am here to express how disgusted I felt when I visited the place. If we don't respect and preserve our heritage, we are nothing but savages. Yes, I call it savagery. What could have been easily handled and preserved is now in its almost demolished state. The reason?? It's very simple.
As I heard from the locals it was the clash between the State Government and the Central Government. There is still much information regarding this to gather. But whatever the reason was, the fact is this palace and other heritage structures near it were very very poorly handled.
And now the situation has come to that whatever parts of those once marvellous creations   still stand will fall too. Very very disappointed!!

Didn't know then what we would find
