The island of Limassol is one that is worth visiting and exploring and you can relax and enjoy a relaxing holiday while exploring its many different attractions. Some of the most popular destinations that people visit when they come to Limassol include the Troodas Peninsula, Daphne Island and the town of Plakkestos. If you are visiting during summer you will find that there are more activities on offer but the weather tends to be rather hot and humid in the afternoon. At about midday there will be a change to a dry and windy climate with showers and drizzles, but as the afternoon light fades you will find that the weather has settled down slightly.

When you arrive in Limassol, you will probably want to book a hotel or accommodation. There are plenty of hotels, resorts and guest houses on the island that you can stay in while touring the sights and sounds of Cyprus. If you choose to rent a car hire in Limassol while you are there you can make your hotel arrangements beforehand. Once you have found a good car hire deal then you can decide where to stay once you have arrived on the island. Many visitors like to stay near the airport as this makes it easy to get around on foot but if you are looking for a more idyllic setting you may prefer to stay in one of the many surrounding towns that are a short drive away from the airport.

One of the great things about Limassol is that there are so many sporting venues on the island. Some of the most prominent ones are the Cyprus Ski and Roller Games, the National Ballet and the Tartu Equestrian Stadium. If you are a keen sport fan, you may even consider taking part in one of the events, although rest assured that you will be able to enjoy them without getting seasick. It may also interest you to know that there is a new motor-bike taxi service that will allow you to explore all of the islands sporting attractions without having to bother with using public transport.

Limassol holidays offer visitors many other opportunities for entertainment and relaxation. If you visit the nightclubs and bars that are scattered across the city, there is no doubt that you may well wish to stay someplace else during your next visit. If you take your time, drink plenty of water and choose your club carefully you may find that there is a club you had never heard of before that you will love to visit again. However, don't think that because you didn't try a nightclub the last time that you won't be back any time soon; what you might not have noticed is that over the last few years a number of the smaller local clubs and bars have been given a face-lift by developers who want to appeal to the holidaymaker market.

One of the places that has recently undergone a massive make-over is the city's seafront. There are now a number of lovely and exciting clubs that you can enjoy along with the rest of the tourists. You may even want to sample the local cuisine in one of the many restaurants or eat at one of the many bars and cafes in the area. Once you have enjoyed your evening you can return to the hotel and relax. Many of the hotels in Limassol are mid-priced, but you should find that they provide quality accommodation for a comfortable holiday.

Limassol holidays offer so much to see and do that you really should spend some time planning how you are going to explore them. It would be a shame to miss the chance to view some of the culture and history that this area has to offer; especially if you are planning to spend more than a few hours in the city. When you return home, you should feel proud that you managed to visit a destination that is so special. It is likely that you will wonder how you ever missed it before!
