Beach Times at Pondicherry

Bangalore - Pondy

Friday night at 23:00hrs - Started the journey as we thought the most efficient way to drive would be at night with less traffic and heat of the day.The weather was pleasant and we drove via bangalore-kolar-vellore-tindivanam-auroville.

The drive was pretty decent as it did'nt cause much discomfort ,just the occasional irritation of high-beamers from the opposite side and trucks that don't give way.We just had a couple of stops for stretching and bathroom break and a warm coffee helped a lot.

06:00 am - We touched pondy and made our way to our pre-booked home at auroville.The host was decent and we paid just 3,200/- for 3 days comprising of 2 rooms and a/c(thank god!).We rested for some time and then searched a place for breakfast.

Auroville is nearby to pondy (10kms approx.)

10:00 am - After breakfast we went to auroville beach,we clicked some snaps and just relaxing looking at the soothing waves for a bit.The weather was so humid and i was literally dripping sweat from my head throughout the day.We went back to the room and freshened up and left for the city.

2:00 pm - Lunch at a random hotel and we landed in some unknown beach(thanks to google maps).Maybe it was a boatyard or something,nothing much to do,hence we moved on to the famed "Paradise Beach".

5:00 pm - The climate matched perfectly with the beach and it was a sight to behold.One felt so calm and at peace here.There were boat rides offered for 200/- bucks up until 6pm in the evening.

10:00 am - Breakfast at a local eatery and went to the city for sightseeing.Had some red velvet cheesecake at "Zuka" and a wrap at subway.Shopped till the later part of the day and went to the room around 3:00 pm.

7:00 pm - Pizza at cafe Xtasi was so delicious and we were full,however we came across a place called "The smoothie bar" and had some awesome chocolate smoothies.

8:00 am - Headed to Rock beach and saw the place was crowded with joggers and early birds.Ordered a "chai" and settled a bit(Nothing much to do here,actually).

9:00 am - Went to "paradise beach" again and had our fun in the waves and goofed around until the sands filled our shorts and our eyes were sore.All in all,it was good fun.
