I've always wanted to visit JAISALMER. It was a dream destination for me.
A few weeks ago, when me and my bestie decided to get away from all the chaos, we picked Jaisalmer as the perfect location. We packed our bags, booked our flights, booked our stay in Mama's Camp and Resorts and left Delhi.
To begin with, the desert camps are an hour away from the airport and you need to either book a cab or take a local transport to reach them. Cab being on the expensive side, a local transport can also be accessed by you. We decided to take a cab because it was more convenient.
When we reached the resort, we relised the beauty of this property and we enjoyed the hospitality they had to provide. It was so quiet and peaceful and exactly what we wanted. Loved everything about them.
After relaxing for a bit in our tents, we went on to Enjoy the swimming pool. It was gorgeous. We then had a nice lunch, got dressed up and went for a camel safari.
Camel cart ride was such a fun experience where we saw the villages and how they were surrounded by never-ending Sand dunes. Sand dunes were the most perfect view I've ever seen. They were soft and smooth and I had the most amazing time there. We took some me pics, sat there for a bit, saw the sunset and then came back to our Resort.
Then the resort has organised an evening entertainment programme for us and we couldn't miss it. Talented people did Kalbelia Dance and sang soulful music, next to the swimming pool under the starry sky. It was the perfect combination of music and good vibe.
We had a beautiful rajashthani dinner after that and just enjoyed the cool breeze. It truly was an experience I'd ponder for a very long time.
