Wah! The taj!

"I have never seen forts such as these anywhere in the world", said an American I bumped into.

People do flying visits to and fro Agra, and that is a pity! For the city has so much to offer.

Agra Walks with Megha and a bunch of Europeans was a leisurely walk through most of Agra ending at the view of Taj at Mehtab Bagh.

I savoured Taj Mahal by 3 visits - sunrise, sunset and moonlight (being there 2 nights before fullmoon). This was a whole day's affair!

Fatehpur sikri was mesmerising as an American who has travelled the world said "I have never seen forts such as these anywhere in the world!"

Subhash emporium was great for I saw how inlay work is intricately done.

The best part for me was leisurely walking through the Kinaari Bazaar, savouring the sights and the sounds. Eating at Chimanbhai and then paan at another outlet. The worst part were the touts everywhere...trying to be your guides to selling you trash as inlay work!

Don't be in a rush for Agra...take your time...allow yourself to bump into tourists from all over the world; spend time savouring the Taj, stroll through kinaari bazaar; experience the fort railway station...breathe and feel!
