After eagerly waiting throughout the whole day about the trip I left from my office to airport for my flight to Ahmedabad from Pune. The flight was smooth and we reached the airport at around 2:00am and then browsed the airport Gujrat tourism stall for all the nice pamphlets and maps which can come really handy.
Finally after waiting for around 6 hours our cab arrived which would take us all the spots we had planned in Ahmedabad.
Followed by this we went to Akshardham temple. A very peaceful and secured place as no mobile or bags were allowed inside the temple. The temple is beautiful and spotless clean. The temple also houses an underground museum having beautiful paintings.
After visiting the science city we went to Kankariya lake and in between just hopping into a nearby mall to spend some more time before finally going to railway station where our train to Bhuj would leave.
The Kankaria lake night light show was really epic with some great music was the highlight of our trip in Ahmedabad.
From here we left for the Ahmedabad science city.
In between we also saw the Tridev temple and also the Vaishno Devi temple. The Tridev temple being more quite than the other temples and was also very clean.
The science city is spread across a huge area having many interesting things to see. We first booked our tickets for the IMAX 3D show. The show was really great and the IMAX experience was also fantastic. We also visited the various halls there and seeing all those scientific experiments really brought the nostalgia of my childhood days.
After having breakfast at the temple canteen we left for Adlaj stepwell. Perhaps the best historic place left in Ahmedabad which still can be admired.
The well is refreshingly cool and the location is really great for some awesome pics.
First stop was the Auto World Vintage Car Museum in Daastan estate. The museum is filled with all the vintage cars of late 1850-1950s. The museum people have done a phenomenal job in keeping such old cars in such pristine condition. The museum had also few bikes with the very old tongaas.
Day 2 started early morning at 7 am from Bhuj railway station. Our cab for the rest of the trip was already waiting for us and we left for Kutch and saw the beautiful sunrise on the way. We reached our resort just outside the the tent city around 8:30 am. The biggest hit of our trip was the resort. The staff was amazing and very helpful. They helped us get an early check in and we took a small nap to compensate the two somewhat sleepless nights prior to that day. At noon we had our first Kutch meal and man it was great. Being such a big non veg cuisine lover the food there made me forget non veg cuisine for the entire duration of our stay in Kutch.
After having lunch we went to the famous White Rann. We hired a private horse car and had a nice little tour there nearby later walked to the very ends of the rann which meets the sea at the end.
The place was the phenomenal for taking pics and I believe such beauty can seldom be captured in camera rather than being just seen through naked eyes.
We stayed till the sun set happened which was another great thing to see. As darkness got spread we returned to our resort to be welcomed with a small but nice cultural show and awesome Kutch dinner.
Next day after having a delicious breakfast we left for Kala Dungar "The black hills". The road trip to it was very beautiful and since Kutch being so close to Pakistan more you see the people and their dressing and places you will feel as if you are in Pakistan itself. Kala Dungar is also a very nice scenic place with some very beautiful points. We had a an awesome camel ride also there to the top of the mountain. Though our luck was not that great as it was being told to us by our travel guide also our driver that at a fixed time everyday the temple present at the mountain is visited by jackals who feed on the prasad given there which turned out to be red meat. Despite being waiting an hour it was a no show. We did some shopping there and then went to India bridge the last bridge built by the Indian government in the western frontier before the Pakistan border. Post this point one has to bring special permit from Bhuj city. But we were lucky this time as the army officer was really helpful as he allowed us to bit more inside before BFS post at the condition that we leave our mobile and camera at the post. And seeing those bunkers from so near was a really great experience. That experience made remember what it is to be an Indian.
After such a memorable experience we headed to the rann utsav to do have lunch and do some more shopping. And finally again wandering the white rann which was just beside the stalls. That day being the last day gave us the opportunity to see the last sunset of 2018. And man it was really awesome end to am awesome year.
But it was not the end as there was another surprise waiting for me at the resort. Well my travel partner and my girlfriend had secretly arranged a romantic candle night dinner with the help of resort staffs for my birthday. And it was damm awesome experience. Followed by this we had another cultural show with an awesome cracker show to celebrate the new year 2019.
Finally the one day I really matter to everyone had come. It was my birthday and we started it with watching the first sunrise of the new year 2019. The place looked awesome at that time and I really didn't like the idea that today we would be leaving Kutch.
Later we had our final meal at Kutch one last time before leaving to Mandvi beach near Bhuj. Mandvi was a 2 hour long drive from Kutch and when we reached there we were amazed by the cleanliness and peacefulness of the beach. The beach was also surrounded with some wind mills was an awesome view one will always remember. We had a Lot of fun at the beach throughout the day and then finally in the early evening we left for Bhuj and had a last swipe at the Bhuj market before leaving for Pune the next day.
