The Oberoi Udaivilas Review- A Royal Sojourn

The place is best suited when you are looking for opulence, magnificence & comfort in your holiday. As we landed in Udaipur, the pick up as organized by the hotel that gave us a glimpse of how the experience will be for the coming few days. A pleasing spacious luxury car waited for us with a sharply dressed chauffer to take us to the hotel. As we entered the car, we were handed over hot towels to freshen up the tiredness of the journey.

As we entered the premises, another touch of detailed thought after hospitality, was being greeted by the person who opened the door of the car by the words "Welcome Ms Aarti". Well, knowing your guests completely even before they arrive, what a touch! As we moved inside the premises, towards the reception area, an unexpected pleasant surprise welcomes us which was a shower of fresh red roses from the terrace.

Welcome drinks, snacks, cake, all were so well in place. The room, beautifully decorated with a private balcony that gave us a view of the entrance of the property. As we had dinner and ended the day with a delicious in-room meal. The next morning had the beautiful sun shining with outdoor breakfast by the Lake, and À la carte options for meals if you couldn't find something of your choice on the complimentary breakfast buffet. They are also very hospitable as to customizing your meals according to individual tastes & preferences.

The private boating experience from the private deck at Udaivilas was sublime. As the sun set, the water turned quiet & the sky fiery orange. The view of Jagmandir and the City Palace with distant silence & pristine waters is one to make for a soulful evening. Since we were out for the evening, the information desk suggested us a rooftop dinner at Upre which is highly popular among the tourists. Even though we had to wait for a table quite long & the tables are a little tightly seated, but indeed the place had a lovely vibe and was worth the visit. Check out our IGTV video of the stay .
