I was in Japan recently right after the biggest typhoon of the year hit the country. Tyhoon Hagibis resulted in change of our itinerary.Nothing went as we had planned. But nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this amazing country. It surprised us everyday with its uniqueness and weirdness! But what actually shook us was the fact that how nice people were. The amount of patience and consideration towards another human being is applaudable. We live in this crazy world where things move fast, everyone is onto the race to achieve more and more. We have lost the patience to acknowledge people around us.

So many things can go wrong when you are in a foreign land not knowing the language. And especially when people don't speak english. But no such problem in Japan. Sure people don't speak english, but they are willing to help in whatever means they can with a big smile on their face of course! I have two moments from my first and last day in Japan which are unforgettable.

First Day: We landed in Japan, took a metro to our destination. Tokyo is one of the oldest cities to have the metro system. The connectivity is awesome but only drawback is, since the stations are so old, often you don't find elevators and escalators. Unless you are a millionaire, you can't afford a taxi in this city. So I was struggling with my two heavy trolleys. A policeman came, picked both the trolleys and ran down two floors. Before I could thank him properly,he left wishing us a great time in Japan. I stood there in awe.

Last Day: We had an awesome week travelling through Tokyo and Osaka. And it was time to leave. We were late for our flight and we weren't finding the metro station. We asked a man for directions. He told us to follow him. The metro station was almost 1.5kms from where we met this man. He even carried one of our luggage. He dropped us at the metro station and wished us goodbye. Only then we find out that he had to go back to the place where we met him to reach his destination. Imagine someone coming all the way so far to just help you. This never happens in our country. This act of kindness changed me as a person. I realized if little of your effort help someone, why not do it. Its good to be nice and kind. After all we all are human beings. Rather taking out frustrations on someone, try being kind. You will heal sooner and the people around you will be happy too.Lets be considerate of others. #KindnessMatters
