Chikmagalur is a small hillstation situated on the foothills of the Mullayanagiri range. It's known for coffee plantations and home stays.

Be prepared to climb around 500 steps to reach the peak. There's a small temple on the top the hill but the view is breathtaking. The condition of roads is bad, it's better if you park the vehicle before the steep journey begins.
Travel in a jeep or trek to reach this beautiful waterfall.
You'll be disappointed if you are expecting to see some animals, but maybe it's all about luck and timings. The safari is available between 6 AM to 8 AM and 4 PM to 6 PM.
The highlight of the trip was visiting this lake early morning. An isolated lake, situated 10km away from the city that offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. There's nothing much to do like boating, but a place to click good pictures :)
