A trip with friends. That's what this short trip to Diu was about. We had just one thing in mind. Explore. So that's what we did. Went to all the places that Diu is famous and even those that are rarely advertised. A two-three day trip to this place ought to do it. If you are looking for peace and quiet and are in for some solitary time, this is the place for you. Oh and not to forget the sea food platter this place has to offer. Apart from Nagoa beach which is the most crowded of all the beaches the other beaches are almost devoid of humans. Yes, they are that lonely. Diu does't attract a lot of crowd and there in lies it's pros.

Lots of resorts & hotels around Nagoa beach gave us an ample amount of choices to choose from. It's the most crowded of all the beaches in Diu. This beach offers adventure water sports to it's tourists. The crowd though is mainly concentrated around the areas where the beach restaurants are located. A little further down the beach and you find the quiet sounds of the waves, soothing.

About a 10-12 minute bike ride from the main city of Diu. This place is one of the main attractions of the place. There's a lighthouse at one corner of the fort and it's fun to imagine ourselves as raiders. Watching the boats float on the sea we were dragged back to the time when the Portuguese had landed on the shores of Diu.

A little away from the Nagoa beach, this place has great fried calamari which compliments the chilled beer on the menu. It has a swimming pool and bonfire on cold nights to chase away the chill. There are a couple hammocks tied to trees in the garden for those guests who love a relaxing afternoon. If you are not on a budget this place is decent enough.

Quiet, solitary, secluded. This beach is one of those ones where you just want to sit on the sand and watch the waves during sunrise or sunset. The beach though not suitable for swimming because of the jagged rocks lining the shore, is a good place to just chill out.

We discovered this place by chance. It's kind of difficult to find the first time if you don't know where to look. The food style is home-cooked but great nevertheless though a tad over-priced. There aren't a lot of good eating joints in Diu and this was one of the few good ones we found. Interestingly we were the only Indian tourists when we visited the place.

A new restaurant but very secluded. We found this place because we were looking for something new to try and we were not disappointed. A 15 minute ride from Hoka Resorts will take you to this place. It looks like a shack from outside but inside it gives you a feel of huts strewn about in a huge courtyard. Good ambiance, great food.
