Me and and my wife were enjoying the backwaters at allepey in Kerala when we decided to make a road trip to this epic beautiful dark blue beach called Varkala.

Varkala also know papanasham beach is situated in varkala town in the district of trivandrum.

We went and already had a booking
in black beach resort which was one impeccable resort with great facility overlooking the varkala beach.

The beach was calm! Water was really clean and someplaces had surfing available also.

There was only a moderate croud at most. Most people stayed on the cliff in the sea facing restaurants!

To me it is arguably one of the most clean beaches that you would find on arabian sea.

If you love beaches, you should definitely visit Varkala beach. The main attraction here is the cliff.

How to reach ?

It's very easy to reach here. Varkala Sivagiri railway station is within two kilometers range and bus services are available to here. And also it's an easy access from National Highway 66.

We went to beach and spend an amazing evening there.

Food options ?

There are various sea facing restaurants all around which provide amazing variety of food.
You will see a lot of tourists here because of the calmness of this place.

We played with the waves and had ice cream along the sunset.

It was one of my favourite place in the entire kerala trip.
