Travel is something we all are missing. Covid-19 has changed a lot of things around us including the way we used to work.

All of us have dreams of living in mountains and with new normal of working from home, you can stay anywhere and work.

So if you are looking for beautiful remote workstations at affordable prices, keep reading. I have selected 10 budget friendly hostels across India which are surrounded by nature, ensuring necessary safety measures and all are in the price range of ₹300-600

Here are 10 budget friendly hostels:

1. Whooper's Hostel, Kasol

Kasol feels like home to many of us. I remember packing my bags every alternate Friday to roam in Kasol (before Corona). Whooper's hostel is a beautiful GoT themed hostel. It has parvati river flowing right in front of it (literally). The host is very friendly and the cook there is amazing.

The best part about this hostel is that it is around 2 km away from Kasol, so you won't have any crowd. You can take small hikes to Kasol village and other nearby places!

The place is spacious, well maintained, has good speed wifi which makes it perfect for your work from home needs.

Check out their website and book it here.

3. The Mudhouse Hostel, Jibhi

Jibhi is a hidden gem! There are no direct buses available for this place.

Normally, one has to take a bus for Manali from delhi, and disembark at Aut. From Aut, take a taxi/bus till Banjar. Jibhi is 8 kms from Banjar, so one needs to take another taxi.

The place is full of peaceful trails, waterfalls and friendly mountain dogs (aren't they all). The best part about this place is its proximity to river and apple orchards. You will see lot of love pouring from local host they fondly call Nanu.

You can book by Whatsapp at 9459895806 and check out the property here.

Precautions and safety measures before travelling:

1. Get yourself a Covid negative certificate (irrespective of whether it is a requirement by state or not).

2. It is for the safety of you as well as others. Use personal vehicle, take proper measures like sanitisation if you happen to hire vehicle for your journey.

3. Use mask all the time, keep sanitiser handy with you (all the time). Even at smallest of doubt, isolate yourself and get tested.

4. Respect local rules & norms. Life could be challenging in mountains.

5. Staying at a place doesn't give you liberty to roam around. Check with the property owner. Above all, be responsible citizen. Having the privilege of WFH is a luxury. Do not take it for granted.

6. Take necessary medicines, first aid kit, dry fruits, cash, and warm clothes with you. There might be scarcity of these things provided the situation.

7. You must have comfy good quality shoes and a pair of slippers.

8. All the above mentioned hostels have single rooms as well. Check with the properties to book those.

Disclaimer: This blog does not suggest you to travel. The only intention to write this blog is to make the readers aware about the options, provided they have already decided to travel. Discretion is suggested. I'm not travelling and will be staying at home the entire year.
