Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Photo of 5 Adolescent Friends on their first trip....#Udaipur by Leisure Traveller

So this trip was all about our first exposure to the world and by this I meant first time out of our state. Yap it was hell of an experience because we all teenagers’ friends went out of the state all by ourselves we were too excited.

Short story a day before the trip starts..!!!

As we were planning for a trip but we didn’t know where to and out of nowhere one of our friend came out with a suggestion of a place called Udaipur "the city of lakes”. At that point of time we didn’t know how it’s going to be but it turn out to be one of the best experience of our life. Like a saying one never forgets his/her first bf/gf same goes to our first trip to Udaipur. As if now we had the place. He had plans for our stay and the place where to visit, all the things where done as we thought but as I mentioned earlier we all were teenagers we forgot about the whole traveling part....!!!. Now the biggest challenge is getting confirm train tickets because it was a peak season but unfortunately we didn’t get confirm train tickets so we thought god is not with us but some of us were atheist and like some of us relied on god, the atheist one came out with plan B i.e. switch to bus for traveling and this was final we were going on a bus.

As you can see we were really determinant about the trip we were not in a position to let it go. so here it goes booking of the hotel was done at the earliest but as the bus was new option we haven’t booked the tickets. Now the best part came to realization that in 5 of our friends three were big fan of Amir khan and at that time dangal was released so instead of booking bus tickets we booked tickets of dangal and at 8:00 at the evening our movie gets over and we came to realization that we haven’t booked our tickets it was a frantic moment for all of us and the best part is that one of our friend stood up in a middle of movie because he didn’t get confirmation from his parents for the trip so he went home and instead of focusing on this situation we rather focused on the movie as I told we were Amir khan fans. On the same night that friend of us also got the permission for the trip and we booked all the five tickets, thank god and we were all ready for the trip.

THE BEGINING OF OUR FIRST JOURNEY

Dec 24, 2016 (11:00 am)

So our journey started from durg railway station, four of us gathered there and headed to Nagpur, we booked our bus from Nagpur from where we are expecting one of our friends so that he can join us. From Durg Station we took general ticket till Nagpur and traveling in general coach was bed of hard rock for us.

At Durg Railways Station

So our bus was at 9:00 PM from Nagpur to Udaipur via Indore, keeping this at mind we have chosen the train Bilaspur-Pune SF Express, so that we can reach earlier but unfortunately our train was running late. We were expecting it to reach Nagpur till 6:45pm but reached at 8:50 PM, boarding place of bus was at a distance of 5 minutes from Nagpur station and we got the bus. Fifth friend was there only holding the bus as we were late and after getting in the bus we were relieved. On 25Dec we reached indore in the morning, in the 6-hour halt, we took a little trip around the city and again in the evening we took the bus from Indore to Udaipur and the journey continues…

Finally in Udaipur….

Walking around we started feeling hungry, then our driver told us that there is a famous restaurant here Krishna dal baati, you should try it and we went.

This beautiful lake bordered by hills and lies to the north of Lake Pichola. This artificial lake is connected to Lake Pichola by a canal. considered as the pride of Udaipur. There are three small islands; the largest of these is the Nehru Park , the second island has a public park with water-jet fountain, and the third island is the address for the Udaipur Solar Observatory (USO). It offers one of the most alluring qualities of water.

Motor Boat Cost: Per Person 100 Rs

One of well known local restaurant in Udaipur for Rajasthani authentic. The taste of Dal Baati and Churma makes it more remembering and famous. They only serve Dal Baati Churma and chass.

When we enter into the restaurant, it seems like a fine dine restaurants but it’s not,In this three-in-one treat (baked baati with spicy panchmel dal and sweet crumbly Churma) is revered as much for its simplicity as for its delicious taste. they have fixed menu from past 7 years, the interior of Krishna Dal Baati Restro is simply subtle, innovating. it’s quite not so noisy, after few minutes of waiting we got the table we see that the restaurant is very quiet: everyone was very much engaged in eating their food. We began to enjoy ourselves without caring about anyone; we are the only with our servers, who enjoying the most in the whole restaurants. Here we had a lot of fun with their staff members.

One of the major attractions in the City of Lakes, The Park was inaugurated on 12 April 2015. The Sajjangarh Biological Park It is located in the foothills of the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) and is about 4 km from the city center, in an area of 36 hectares; it is a home to a massive variety of wildlife.

It would be evening when we saw it, and we came back to hostel, as soon as we arrived, we got a voice from the balcony like some traditional show, wondering that what is happening, chasing the voice, me and a friend of mine reached Lal Ghat which was a bit far away. We saw a queue of people, after some inquiries, we came to know that they are all were standing for tickets of the show. The show is done inside the Bagore Ki Haveli.

(6:25 PM)

The very famous Bagore Ki Haveli was was built by Amar Chand Badwa in the 18th century. He was the Prime Minister of the Mewar kingdom, after the death, this haveli was taken over by the Mewar royal family, a relative of Maharana of that time started staying at Bagore Ki Haveli and made this place his residence.

After watching the show, we spent a while in Lal Ghats, where the film "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani" dialogue” Tu right nahi hai naina, bas mujhse alag hai" was shooted.

The next day we made a plan to visit Mount Abu, which is 169km from the city. On the way we had breakfast.

Day 2

Dec 27 2016 (8:14 AM)

The state’s only hill station stands at a height of 1722 metres above sea level, and is embraced by lush green hills of the Aravalli range. Mount Abu is also popular as a seat of religious importance for Jains. the road to paradise has never been easy bumping uneven road. With more scenic beauty, more architecture and archaeology in the form of the famous Dilwara temples, Brahmakumaris and few temples which shows that the place is exceptionally favored by the gods.

On the way going to Mount Abu we stopped to see Goddess

It is one of most beautiful tourist attraction in Mount Abu. Some says that it was dug by god to protect from demon “Bakshali”. It also has story of Rasia Balam, a sculpture he like king’s daughter. King put up the challenge whoever dugs a lake by his nail overnight, he would get his daughter married to that person but because of daughter stepmother it never happened. It is also believed that Rasia Balam dug a lake overnight with his nails. From there the name of this lake “Nakki Lake” derived.

While walking we saw magic show by little kid on the way to lake. These children would have been very stubborn, after we got rid of the kids, we went and we did boating and enjoyed a lot.

(1:32 PM)

Park is very good, very quiet and peaceful area, Brahmakumaris members are there to teach you about life, body and soul. Peace is the most important thing in life is what they teach. They will force you to listen to their speech anyhow if you want to visit park!. Unfortunately the staff here rude that they will say you to get out if you don't want to listen their spiritual speech. Ultimately it all depends on you whether you want to listen or not. I say this because one of my friends did not pay attention to his words.

(2:02 PM)

Dilwara Temple

Photo of Dilwara Temples, Delwara, Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India by Leisure Traveller

Built between the 11th and 13th century, these temples are all the more exceptional because the marble to build these was brought all the way from Makrana, the most beautiful pilgrimage site for the Jains, the lavish use of marble and complex carvings on every hook and corner. From the outside, The Dilwara temple looks quite rigid but once you enter inside you will be mad at seeing it. The magnificent designs and patterns carved on the roofs, walls and pillars made by marble were quite amazing . We all were so amazed by seeing it. It is one of most beautiful temple I have ever seen in my life.

Here no camera, phones are allowed, avoid going in afternoon as it is pretty hot out there. if you still wanna go carry a pair of socks for sure otherwise your feet will burn.

Walked a little upside down in palace road to see the nearby street, while roaming, we reached a mall nearby. We went to the one who had small shops nearby, due to the high price of goods; we headed back to City Palace Road. Then while walking, we saw a small leather shop with an uncle running a sewing machine; it was a small shop, which is just 400 mtr or 500 mtr from our hostel. After much bargaining, we all took a leather bag for ourselves.

In this way, our trip to Udaipur also ended; in night at 8:00 pm , we took bus from Udaipur to Ujjain, which is our next destination.
