Day 1

Udaipur also known as "City of Lakes" is the jewel of Rajasthan. From magnificent architecture to serene lakes, it is perfect place to stop by when one is visiting Rajasthan.

We landed at Udaipur airport and opted for a cab service to the city. Had an amazing experience at our Airbnb stay as the place was very near to the tourist destinations which saved us a lot of time.

Our first place to visit was the Natraj restaurant, the place perfect for Rajasthani and Gujarati thalis at an affordable price. After having delicious meal we decided to visit the city palace which was very near to the place we were staying.

City palace is a must visit for anyone traveling to Udaipur not only for it's majestic architecture but also to explore the 400 years old history of Mewar dynasty. The palace complex houses monuments like Jagmandir and Lake Palace. We roamed around the palace and then decided to move to another beautiful side of the city.

Udaipur is famous for it's lakeside romantic restaurants. We tried searching for the best view restaurants and finally decided on a restaurant named "Upre" . Amidst the lakes and picturesque landscape the place was more romantic than any place visited ever. The place is perfect to hang out with friends and family. We spent a nice evening  there and then got our way to "Fateh Sagar Lake".

Fatehsagar lake is an artificial lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh. The lake is sorrounded by scenic Aravalli mountains and is a perfect place to spend your evening at. The place has lot many eateries around where the chocolate shake is a must try. We ended our day admiring the beauty of this beautiful lake.

Day 2

Jagmandir that is inside the premises of City Palace can be covered on same day. It is built on an island in Lake Pichola and is a great attraction. We decided to take the ferry boat to Jagmandir which was a very pleasant ride. Jagmandir with it's impressive structure was built by 3 Maharanas of Mewar kingdom. There are restaurants inside the premises. It also has a stay facility which can be availed to enjoy the palace ambience.

One of the famous tourist attraction in Udaipur known for its lush green garden can be visited if one has free time to spend somewhere. The garden presents lotus pond and fountains and elephant marble structures and there are lot many nearby restaurants to soothe your taste buds at. We decided to go to a place named "The Bungalow" which was an old colonial style Bungalow that was converted so beautifully into a restaurant. The place had a beautiful and serene vibe with amazing food and hospitality. Our first phase of the trip ended with tummy's full and wandering souls ready for next beautiful city.
