Among the places to shop in Chennai I love Anna Nagar. I can see why it didn't make it to your list because it is a bit expensive to shop there but every once in a while is worth it.

Only problem down south is communication. For fear of getting ripped off I didn't venture out to any local places to shop in Chennai.

So many places to shop in Chennai for kanchipuram sarees but my mother will only go to George town. She just loves that place.
