Camping in the woods is not permitted in/around Kudremukh. People usually visit the Wildlife park or go for Kudremukh trek in that area.
You need to have a permission from the forest official and must have a guide if you are going for the trek. A homestay at the local village is a good option to consider if you have enough contacts.
