Places to visit on your Jaipur Trip
Cover the forts before the rush of the tourists set in on your Jaipur trip. Jaipur has three forts which reminiscences the golden era that the city experienced.
The fort was built by one of the most trusted generals of Akbar, Maan Singh. The fort is located 11 km from Jaipur city. The tour takes you to the Hall of Public Audience, Sukh Mandir, Sheesh Mahal and Kesar Kyaari.
In case you are interested in watching a light show, the timings are 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm for Hindi and English respectively for the 50 min spectacle. The other attraction is the elephant ride which you could take anytime between 7:30 in the morning till 12:30 in the afternoon.

Jaigarh Fort is a must visit on your Jaipur trip. It is at walking distance from Amer Fort, located at the promontory called "Cheel Ka Teela" of Aravalli Range overlooking Amber Fort and Maota Lake. The world's biggest cannon wheels, the Jaivana Cannon, whose manufacturing took place within the fort, still sits inside the fort.

Nahargarh fort is another great place to visit on your Jaipur trip. The fort was constructed as a place of retreat, it served as a place of shelter for the Europeans of the region during Indian mutiny of 1857.
Until 1944, the fort served as the solar time read for the Jaipur State Government.

If you are tired from your adventures and looking for a good traditional meal, Chokhi Dhani is the place to be. No Jaipur trip is complete without it. The place along with the meal takes you to a ride of Rajasthan; world class traditional art coupled with everlasting dance forms could be seen.

Start Day 2 by visiting places which are spots that travellers would go rather than tourists.
The main attraction of the place is "Gau-Mukh" from where a small stream of water gushes out; Mystery- Source unknown. Majestically, the water source has never run dry

The garden is well maintained unlike the usual gardens.
Jal Mahal is situated in the middle of the lake, reminding you of another beauty of similar style- Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai. It is a must-visit on your Jaipur trip.
The best lassi in town is served at lassiwala, quench your thirst with lassi in locally built pottery glasses.
You don't really realize what the hype is all about lying at your place looking at 2D screens; then you take a nice casual drive through Sanganeri gate, through the market nothing special and then all of a sudden there it is, in the middle of nowhere and in that moment, that little moment, you realize what the hype is all about.

At Albert Hall's entrance you are welcomed by a sea of pigeons, similar to what you see at the gateway of India, no more similarities could be seen though, Albert Hall is a museum, the oldest one in Rajasthan, that you must visit on your Jaipur trip. The museum represents architecture, it is a model of brilliance used by craftsmen in the olden days for inspiration and improvement in their work.
