Chittorgarh Fort

Chittorgarh Fort is regarded as one of the most outstanding forts of India. It is the epitome of Rajput pride and spirit. This majestic fort is atop a 180 meter high hill covering an area of 700 meters. This one mile long fort is huge and exhaustive. One cannot explore this Fort on foot even in a couple of days. The fort can be approached through seven huge gateways.

Chittorgarh was the capital of Mewar under the Rajputs. Chittaur holds memories of great sacrifices by these valiant king and queens who fought and gave their lives to protect the pride of Mewar. This is the top place to visit near Udaipur.
