Day 1

I arrived to 'City of lakes' in the cold morning of December! This was my first time ever in this city. As soon as auto took off to my desire stay at friend's place, cool breeze made me more fresh and active! We crossed through the market roads which was quite and empty, stopped at the lake for the breathtaking views and not but least stopped at the tapari to have Adrak wali chai and poha😋

After resting in the Afternoon, we went for a walk through the city in the evening covering the market, lakeside and palace walk. And since i was with the Rita who is from Udaipur itself, I literally had the local experience while walking through the city😇😋

We met some of her friends staying in old hawelis which made my day, and we ended it on a good note with some good food!

Day 2

For the Day 3rd in the planned itinerary I was quite excited. We planned the visit to Shilpgram Festival where artisans across India were present to showcase their art, craft and performances. It was very well received by the visiting crowd as well. We spent good 4 hours strolling through the festival, had good food. I will do the photoblog for the festival soon.

As we arrived on the front gate of the festival, it lifted us with all the vibe and colours!

Day 3

On 4th day we headed to see other side of jaisamand lake, which is one small village called 'Ghati' where Meena and Bhil tribe stays together with different set of skills and professions.

We did the trip in a day and returned to Udaipur in the evening for home cooked meal😋

We just sat here for some time to breath in the beauty of the lake!

Day 4

Day 5th was the visit to village Molela, which is famous for its art/craft of mitti work. One can come and visit artisans house and see their work and buy from them directly. It was amazing to interact with one such a artist who was master of his work. He also treated us with home cooked Rajasthani meal which was also one highlight of this trip!

It was Christmas Eve, so we tried to reach home as soon as possible to celebrate and cook some delicious food and drinks. We had ginger rum and bowl of boiled chicken with white cream, sauted spinach, roasted potato and some veggies! We indeed had a fun talking away and laughing!

We had bajra roti right from the chulha cooked by a lady from the house.

We hogged on roti and ghee-gudh and pickle and everything in the dish, which made us lazy in the afternoon.

Terraces were filled with the the frames, houses had kilns in front of them, one can say it's a artist village.

Day 5

Day 6th was last day and also christmas. This was planned to ride around the town, and see the water systems of the city.

I had amazing company to show me around but somehow due to holiday it was over crowded and roads were filled with vehicles.

One last lunch was All about rajasthani thali which I enjoyed the most.

And then in the evening left for home!
