As we have already done havoc journey the previous day we felt it would be an easy ride, the train passed and we saw so many people across the train who are visiting Haridwar. As always Sai Kiran started to talk with the stranger beside him and asked him all the details about the accommodation, food and travel costs.

We got there and checked in. The room was really nice and neat. The time is already 4:55 p.m , we packed a pair of clothes and started moving swiftly towards HARI KI PAURI where the GANGA AARTHI takes place. It's about 1.5 km from our room so we just walked by the streets to see the stalls around that place.

We are about to reach the place and already all the pilgrims have seated on the steps of the ghats where the Aarthi is being performed. We decided to move towards the platform at centre of the river so that we can take a holy dip in the river and watch the Aarthi.

Day 3

We soon vacated the place and moved towards the bus stop and waited for the buses to arrive, we quickly had coffee, after about waiting for 30minutes we noticed the bus and got in there. As it is about 40km to the next stop we enjoyed viewing the mountains and rivers around the journey.

Finally we arrived the place which we are waiting for, we quickly contacted the guide and reached Ram Jhula. We moved to their office which is located just beside Ram Jhula shopping streets, and he arranged us the transport to our lodge, we waited till the vehicle arrived, in meantime he suggested to take a look around the place.

WHAT A BEAUTY IT IS, we noticed the sun peircing out of the hill at 8 a.m, the day starts here around 8 'o clock. We stared at the Ganga river and the peace around the place. The river is flowing calm, It's really amazing. We reached here 10 minutes ago and we are in love with this location. That's why it is popularly known as,

"Y O G A C A P I T A L O F I N D I A".

And we came here for the other cause, Rishikesh is also known for adventures it had. It is also called as,

"It's time guys" said the guide, as we changed to swimwear and are ready for the very first adventure of our trip.

Soon we moved towards the Shivpuri where we are going to start the ride. We got a couple of guys with us who are going to guide us in the rafting. We need to travel around the Shivpuri to reach the place, while we travel, we started to comment on them as the road was very dangerous ahead, We reached the destination and we got down the car and they started to untie the boat tied at the top of the vehicle. They instructed us to wear the safety jacket and a helmet. We trekked down the hill towards the open area which looked similar like a beach.

PLACE: MADRAS CAFE

FOOD: SOUTH INDIAN THALI

PRICE: ₹180 /- , ₹80 FOR EXTRA RICE.

We soon decided to take the dinner around location. We quickly got around the location and found the "Madras cafe", we entered the restaurant while we saw the menu Bhanu order a tomato soup, later ordered the South Indian thali. the quantity of the food is comparatively small than the previous one we had early, we also ordered extra rice has the food wasn't enough for us. We completed the meal and and moved to the lodge.

As we were climbing the hill, all the food we have taken started to digest, we are almost tired when we reached our rooms and changed quickly and ready to sleep. We started to discuss about how the day have passed, and the next adventure. We have planned it after our first trip, now the time has come for the craziest adventure ever. There was a bit of fear when they explained about the Cliff jump, but we are dare enough to do the task.

Soon Akhil informed us that we need to be at their office as early as possible because we have booked a combo of all three. There is an early transport to their place so that we can start and end quickly. We got to bed quickly, rolled over the blanket saying "goodnight and wake me soon !!"

Day 4

It is a foot over bridge which is similar to the Ram Jhula, but comparatively small in size. It looked very dangerous as the road constructed on it is cracked apart and still the people around are crossing with the bikes. We swiftly moved to the other side of the bank and moved to the Shiva temple. As the temple was closed, we turned back to the bridge. As we crossed we saw some devotional stalls were all the idols are placed.

We moved back, crossed the bridge and on the way to the lodge. As we remembered the hotel guys said that the non veg food is available, we moved to the hotel and quickly looked at the menu, and ordered three chicken curries and naans. As the home delivery is also available, we gave our lodge address and moved to the place. As we reached the lodge, we got freshed up quickly and changed the clothes.

FOOD: NAANS, 3CURRIES.

As we are all packed up, even though we can feel the coldness around us. Soon we came out of the vehicle, the time was around 6:10 a.m. and even the surroundings are very dark. We tried to take the pictures of Rishikesh from the top.

Soon after that we reached that place, the waterfalls it is. The white waters falling from a large heights, it looked beautiful. The single stream of the water pouring down the big rock, it was a wonderful experience to watch. There was a small pond constructed beneath the falls. The water looked fresh and cool, As we were walking all the day, our legs had become sour.

We quickly removes the shoe and place the legs in the water. Wow the pain is quickly redempted by the cool water. The chilling water made us to forget the pain. We started to enjoy the beautiful view of the waterfalls, we almost spent about 30 minutes there enjoying the water, clicking the photos.

We moved to the temple which is located about 30km from Rishikesh. We reached the place and moved into the temple. We saw there were so many stalls of idols and Pooja items. We simply avoided their calls and moved into to the mandir. There was a waiting as the tourists usually come here too. We stood in the queue and reached the interior of the temple. In no time we reached the Shiva Linga. It was a small idol covered with flowers and the pooja items, We offered the prayers and quickly moved back to the vehicle. And towards Rishikesh.

TAXI FARE: ₹2000/- ROUND TRIP

The time was around 4 p.m. and we reached back to Ram Jhula. We placed our luggage in their office and we moved across the streets. After some time we came near the Ghat and waiting for the Ganga Aarti.

After the event, we moved to the office and picked our luggage and had a soft meal beside that place and waited for the bus to arrive. In meantime I went to the streets for some idols, as Akhil and Saikiran too bought them with me, and in meanwhile I took an empty bottle to fill the Ganga water, to bring back home.

As the time reached we took an auto and moved to the bus stop and waiting for the bus to arrive. As we already booked all the transport facilities before the arrival, it made us easy to plan accordingly to the time. Soon the bus arrived and we are ready to move. As we dropped the luggage, moved inside the bus.

TIME: 10:00 P.M.

PLACE: RISHIKESH

BUS: KINGS CRUISER A/C SLEEPER.

PRICE: 600PER HEAD.

Once again we are Shocked to see that bus has got the worst service ever. We need to share the one sleeper coach for two because of Saikiran. As he booked the tickets without seeing the reviews. Me and Bhanu managed a bed, while Sai Kiran and Akhil moved to another. Vijay was the lone warrior who got a random passenger, as the bus moved we somehow managed to rest our body a bit. But we can't even get the sleep. It was the worst sleep I ever had in that journey. Please don't choose this bus services from Rishikesh to Delhi. As we are hell tired by the trek we were rested but not slept in that conditions also. But for a normal guy, he will suffer a lot.

Day 6

It's 3 'o clock in the early hours. We reached the bus stop. We got down the bus and picked up the luggage and waiting for the vehicle to arrive, which Vijay contacted his dad and arranged it.

We noticed Delhi is warmer compared to the weather of Rishikesh. In that early hours the roads were clear, just a couple of RTC buses started along that place. As there is a metro station near by the rush started to increase by the time. As the vehicle arrived, the person greeted us and took us to the hotel. By the way he also informed us that it is the tourist holiday on Monday. And all the tourist spots will be closed.

As we moved, we stopped at the Red fort area and had a quick view at the monument in the dark night. Along the path we passed by the court hall, the stadium and the national zoo. We entered into a gated community, and reached the destination.

We moved to the hotel, it was a 3 star hotel, checked in for a day and quickly got two rooms. We moved into the rooms and placed the bags and were shocked on seeing the room. They were really the heaven for us now after the worsen bus journey all night. The time was around 4 a.m. we checked about the breakfast timings and rolled the bed for a peaceful sleep.

As we moved the traffic started to increase on the roads, we reached the place and there was a big queue at the ticket counter, as it was the only tourist place open on that day. We waited around 30 minutes in the queue for the entry tickets, Soon we moved in to garden, the place was nice with garden area and we moved along the path and we quickly noticed some ancient equipment like cups, some ornaments and the building materials which were placed in the small museum like hall along the way to the tomb.

We moved back to the car and ready to leave to the next destination. While Bhanu's friend called him and asked to meet up. We were next taken to Qutub Minar and due to the traffic and the rush over the place we viewed it from the car and moved back to the Rajpath road. On the way back we moved from the AIMS road. And the roads are designed traffic free. They were great.

We soon moved around the place and went into the underground shopping place known as "Paalika bazar". As we moved in and saw the stalls and tried some jackets, That guy came by, we met him introduced ourselves and started to move out of that place. We discussed about the place and noticed the Tiranga flying high.

After we gathered together and moved back to the vehicle and started to move towards Hauz khas where he suggested some famous food, as we reached there, we found the food stall atlast. Day 2

As the alarm rang, I was back to my conscious, I was sleepless all the night dreaming about the trip and adventures...

It's 3 'o clock and I just woke up after a short nap, I got a call from Sai Kiran "We are about to start, Get things done Quickly" . Now I rushed and was ready in no time. I checked my bag pack and the food once again and I am ready, As they called me I came downstairs towards and it's my dad saying "BE CAREFUL with the Flowing Waters"

As the vehicle arrived I gave a goodbye to mom,dad and dropped my luggage, landed in my seat giving a cheers to all of them,

A N D T H E R I D E I S O N . . . .

Hello travellers, I am Vamshi Krishna from Hyderabad. Here is the story of my experiences all along the journey to Rishikesh. This is my first blog and hope you enjoy the story. All the travel expenses and fares has been mentioned as per time of the events.

Day 1

it's about an hour ride to the station from our place and we need to pickup Vijay along the route.we are quicker than expected due to traffic free roads in early hours, It's 5:35 a.m as we reached the station and it's more 50minutes for the train to start. So we decided to take sip of coffee from NCB cafe. We picked up the luggage and started to move inside the station, towards the platform, found the coach and placed the luggage at our seats and we are back to platform having some fun and clicking photos.

Unstoppable Bhanu Teja

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

It's the time we all are waiting for,

It's the time we are going to enjoy.

We gave an adieu to Bhanu Teja who got cancelled his ride for SEM exams. "See you soon guys"quoted Bhanu as we replied "You are going to miss this bro", IT WAS A FAMOUS TRAIN SCENE which we are trying to replicate but ended out laughing hard.

Finally we are on the train, quickly changed clothes and we were quite for a while to let the people around settle. I called home and informed them as I reached, so as the others, the train started to move on. We got a couple of single seats at window and the other two besides them. Me and Akhil sat to the opposite side, while Vijay and Sai took over the window area.

We got an elder couple in 3 seater towards window and a lone warrior beside me who just got in the next station and took the upper berth for an Ultrapower nap (he never came down again till the evening, OMG what a being he is).

Now we started to look around the window for some views of beautiful nature.since it's about an hour already we started to feel a bit of hunger and started to see the different types of food we bought, we ate Aloo Parathas, chapathis with paneer curry and some lemonrice.

"These are the expenditures for the trip" said Sai Kiran along with a sheet which he calculated earlier, as we saw it and discussed ourselves based on different fields like food, stay, travel and adventures. As it was huge money so we kept an equal share with everyone of us.and that's the end of the discussion. And suddenly there was the disturbing sound came from those elder couple playing old songs of some unknown languages. "Ok bro control" Akhil whispered to Vijay.

Expenses

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

Then Vijay said hesitatingly "Why should they have all the fun" by taking out the Bluetooth speaker from the camera bag. that's a surprise for all of us as we din't knew that he bought it, then starts the music session and it's nonstop till an hour and more. Suddenly the train stopped at some random station, we got to know that it will be stopped for 15 minutes. So three of us came down the train and sat at a nearby chair in the sun. It's warm out there with usually less temperature compared to our place. We came back and started to play PUBG for a while but there is a daamn lag because we lost the f*#ng signal.

we had lunch at noon and again we started to play games ➡️ songs ➡️ chit chat and repeat????. We played mini militia for about an hour. It made us play like that cause it's a challenging gameplay and here Akhil was the culprit to hide and kill us which spoiled the whole game, we were somewhat bored sitting all along. Sai Kiran started to play with the kid next to our seat who was staring at us.

So Vijay and I decided to move around, first we moved to sleeper coaches and then to the AC coaches backside. As we reached the final compartment we returned back towards our respective places and as we arrived we saw Sai Kiran was sleeping already, So Vijay also moved towards the upper berth and had a nap. In a while Akhil and me checked the signal, started PUBG again, in no time Sai Kiran woke up and joined the party.

As the time moved on quickly we are about to reach Nagpur station at around 4:05 p.m, we came down to fill the water bottles and took a quick picture. As usually there was more delay. We found a village named after "KOHLI" along the way.

The end

Now Sai Kiran and I decided to watch a thriller movie "ANDHADUN" and Akhil too had his headphones up and listening random music. As I felt a bit tired I went up to the door and had a face wash. Took out my phone and surfing the internet.

Random snap around 5:24 p.m

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

I came back and started to continue the movie,my phone rang it's my friend, I moved to the door and we started talking about the journey, all of a sudden it became blank and signal lost, it's like a HORROR scene.I was like WHAT THE HELL IS THIS... as the light beeped out I realised that it's a cave, I called others that the caves are here and there is another one. Then we rushed to the door and started to scream as the caves passed away. It was the best experience for a while. We entered the North India.

And the famous fancy "ABBAIDULAGUNJ" is here. That's the word Akhil always likes to repeat as he saw it once in his family trip. As the sunset scenes came to sight we hurried Vijay to wake up and pranked him about the destination. He hurried but fallen back as he saw other passengers.

Then I resumed my movie, both Sai Kiran and Akhil flew to roam all around the coaches. That took them exactly 1hour 25 minutes to cover both the ends of the train. I completed my movie and they returned back. We played ludo and started dinner in QuickTime. The time is 9:55 p.m and the train reached Bhopal as mandatory we came down filled up the bottles and took a click as well.

Bhopal station

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

we noticed that the temperature is slightly decreasing. I opened the train door that's an amazing experience as the cool breezes flowing around the face, which made me to feel them even more and my hands started to feel numbless within no time. Akhil and me spent a long time there being involved in some random discussion. After sometime he left the place.

Soon I came back and sat along with Akhil watching those lights from the window. I was tired already as I didn't sleep last night.

Day 2

I moved to the upper berth, bid a Good night and slept well. we crossed Jhansi, Gwalior and Agra while the train moved on.

It's about 6 in the morning, I woke up as the train passed Mathura. I felt a drastical change in climate and temperatures within a night. It's freezing all along the way. As I washed the face with the chilling water in the early morning, OMG Again how do thee people survive here..!?!

We are about to enter the Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Old Delhi, we started to pack the bags and other people are getting down. Finally we are 1 station away for the next encounter, completed a 26 hour ride without any trouble,Suddenly we saw the tickets of our next Journey, we are SHOCKED, as it is the current station which we need to get down. Thankgod for the idea, Else our total schedule would have been wrapped apart.

As we got about 2 hours of space between the next train we decided to move out of the station for watching the area around. As we moved we saw some food stalls out there and decided to give it a try. It tasted OK but that place is very unhygienic, we also tried chai in the next stall, came back to the station waiting for the Haridwar express to arrive....!

As the train passed we started to notice the villages around and their scenery looks beautiful. As always we had our time gone while we played a couple of games, ate and watched a movie.

Around noon we crossed Meerut city, half of journey has finished. We are enjoying the nature. Around 2:55 p.m we reached Roorkee station. The train stopped for a little more time we came out and ????.

Roorkee

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

Finally the train started to move and we boarded it for the one last time, while on bound we noticed the river Ganga pouring down, it was an amazing view to watch. Atlast we saw some of the mountain ranges coming around, we felt some ethnic vibe within ourselves as we reached the First destination of our trip.

We reached the place in time and started to dip in the holy river one by one, the flow of the river in like a flood, some iron chains fixed near the steps for support in water. The flood is very large that if we didn't take any support we would definitely be gone with the flow. The water is pure and chilled. We somehow managed to take the dip in the water and prayed to MAA GANGA.

As we ended up, the Aarthi started, it is really a devotional feel which can't be explained in words, as the Aarthi is being performed, our focus didn't even divert aside from that attraction and we even started to sing the song along with the other pilgrims. We prayed in the temple and started to to the room.

We noticed some stalls while moving and tasted the local food which is famous in that location. We ate kachoris, Pani Puri, Parathas, Sweets. Due to the minimum temperatures around even the hot skimmed milk served in Kulhads (mud glasses) tasted as normal.

Soon the temperature started to decrease swiftly and all the roads are emptied in no time. Moreover the time is already 8:30 p.m, we decided to eat the food within the route. We searched for a restaurant and the chef himself came to us, asked about our tastes and flavours. We ordered chapathis and stuffed parathas with panner and chole bathura.the food was good and satisfied.

FOOD: PARATHAS, PANEER CURRY, CHOLE BATHURA.

PRICE: ₹600.

Here even the normal water bottle is chilling. We had finished the meal and bought some equipment like gloves and cap for surviving this climate. Due to the temperatures, Chai is a mandatory thing. We reached the lodge and settled the bags aside. We can't place our bare foot on the floor, we managed it somehow with the footwear.

Soon after some chats we called Bhanu and told him about the experience he missed, we decided to sleep because we need to move to the next destination on our list, as early as possible.

Day 3

I was in deep sleep early, Akhil got a call at 3 'o clock in the morning, he just woke up from the sleep and lifted it. "HELLO GUYS! I'M IN HARIDWAR" it was a familiar tone and Akhil jumped out of the bed and said stop joking Bhanu...! We all are Shocked for a while "why would he be at Haridwar now ??! ".

First thing is that, he need to join us at Rishikesh this morning as he choosed to skip the train journey for his SEM Exam. He moved in flight from Hyderabad to Delhi yesterday evening and booked a bus ride to Rishikesh.

But we don't know that the bus is going to Rishikesh through Haridwar. So he decided to get down when he reached, that's his destiny to visit that place in that late night at 3°C. he called us, and asked about the lodge. Akhil lonely dared to go out to bring him in that cold temperature, he went out well equipped with gloves, cap, sweater across. Somehow they came back freezing.

It's already 3:45 a.m and we started to fresh up one by one and we decided to visit Hari ki Pauri for Bhanu as he missed the Aarthi yesterday. We checked the timings, Vijay and Sai Kiran gave up and said they will pack the bags and be ready uptill we come back. So me Bhanu and Akhil came out and caught a up an auto rickshaw and moved to the devotional place.

As we moved in there is no one actually, all the things are getting ready for the Aarthi, we waited, Bhanu went down to Ganga and prayed there. We skipped because our foot are already numbless, we didn't dared to go down there. We started to look after all the temples around the place and waiting for the things to happen, as we bought the camera, Bhanu started his skills shooting the surroundings. Soon we came to know that the Aarthi is delayed, so we decided to move on by walk.

The streets of Haridwar are clean and empty, we noticed the people sitting around the bonfires to feel the heat and survive the temperatures. As we moved on, we found a panchamukhi Shiva Linga in the temple near the lodge and the camera snapped it, we reached the lodge and ready to leave,We posed for a mandatory pic, and moved out.

The instructor gave us a briefing about the rafting, it's techniques and precautions to be taken along the ride. We entered the boat, we are in the position and the instructor sat at the backside. He boosted our confidence levels by encouraging us, but there is still some fear within us deep inside, as we moved into the river we put all the faith on GANGA with the chants "GANGE MAIYA KI JAI".

Well, the ride was great than expected, as we moved in we did some training for a while. Soon came the first rapid, and he said that if any danger is going to happen just jump out of the boat. We got really scared with those words sitting tight in the boat holding the paddles. The rapid arrived, we followed his voice and did exactly the same he suggested. It was fun as we crossed the rapid and the fear decreased a little.

After a couple of rapids, we started to enjoy the ride, As the water splashed on my body I felt the presence of the river. The peace around, the sounds of the flowing water, the forest greenery, the birds sounds from deep inside them, the rocky hills, the warm sun and the cold water. It was delightful experience which everyone need to encounter atleast once in their life time.

Soon we came around some more rapids and we are charged up to go into the rapids, as it gave us the best experience. We are enjoying it, our fear has vanished. Those water splashing upon us, sudden drifting of boat, we are screaming.

Feel the flow

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

After a while, we noticed some guy is sitting lonely, deeply involved with the nature performing the meditation near the banks of Ganga. He was sitting across a big stone, we asked among ourselves "How could he get in there?" As there is no route into the forest.

Soon after a distance, the instructor asked us to jump into the river. We are feared as there is no sign of danger, why did he said that? Is he joking. No he was really saying it. He said us again to jump and take a holy dip in the river.

I was blanked out. As all the others jumped into the river, I somehow managed to jump. It was a rejuvenate experience. The cool water flowing through my body, as instructed we caught the rope around the boat, and we are moving with a great speed. It was such a feeling which we neverfelt before. We are moving with the flood, enjoying the scenes. As I took a dip in the river. We came across some distance caught holding the boat.

Then with the sudden drift comes the rapid as we were not prepared for it, we moved through the rapids. Wow that's really awesome. The disturbance caused by the river flow on the rapids made us to feel the flow, I was holding the boat upto the best, because I know what happens if I loose the contact.

Soon we reached the distilled location were the flow is calm and undisturbed. We left the ropes and are floating on the water, we took some pictures as we moved further.

Cheers

As we came up the boat, we made a swift movement, Soon we came across the couple of rapids. And we are drained already. But we managed to move forward. we reached the Maggie' point. We got down, climbed to rocks and we started to feel the warmness of the sun. Removing the jacket, We gathered around and occupied the stones. Ordered the Maggie and a cup of coffee firstly

As we finished, we observed the place consists a waterfall at the top. We are grasping the heat from the sun and enjoying the peace around us. Promptly we got the Maggie prepared for us. We received it and started to eat. Even it tastes normal. Our hunger made us to eat it. Soon we climbed up the stones towards the waterfall and the place is slipping and we managed to get there. It looks very good to see the white waters. We started to pose for a quick snaps.

We spent about an hour around the location and the people called us to move as it's time to leave. We came down the rocks,

While Vijay, Bhanu and Sai Kiran moved to the cliff to make a jump into the river. it's a height of 30 feet and they really dared to jump. I was back here along with Akhil, as I was feared of heights. Soon we completed our ride and are back to Rishikesh. We crossed Laxman Jhula followed by Ram Jhula. We grabbed our mobiles and had some pictures.

Finally done✌️

Finally we got one more page written in our adventure book. We left the boat and handed the equipment to the office and are about to leave to the lodge. We got a share auto and moved to BALOKNATH temple at TAPOVAN.

As the lodge is located up the hill and the steep is very high, so we decided to have the lunch first, we started to move towards Laxman Jhula and found "155 miles from Delhi", we somehow got connected to the idea of the nametag and rushed in. The place is quite good and clean. We had a glance at the menu and ordered the thali, the food consists of a couple of curries and 3 parathas with small amount of rice. The ambience is good but the food is average.

PLACE: 155 MILES FROM DELHI.

FOOD: THALI.

We quickly completed the meal and moved up the hill towards the lodge. Now we got an ample of time to look around the hill, we saw the farms laid on steep lands. We got across a lot of yoga centres around the hill. The place itself is called as TAPOVAN, so it is. We reached the lodge after 10 minutes, climbing to the hilltop. The place is surrounded by farms at one side and some building beside , a big mountain at back of the house.

We got two rooms in the lodge, I along with Akhil and Bhanu shared one, Vijay and Saikiran moved to other. The room was tidy, but the floor is very cool. We quickly had the bath with the hot water, and settled around. Now we discussed about the rafting and the experience we had. Soon after, the Sun started to hide behind the mountains so as the climate. We decided to visit the Triveni Ghat for Ganga Aarti. We got ready and moved down towards the hill, took an auto and started to the place which is about 5km from our place.

The Aarthi ended quickly, we took the Aarthi and clicked some random photos around the location. The pilgrims moved their feet for the songs. Most of the devotees are from abroad, they came here just for the purpose of yoga. Which made our Indian culture great.

Soon after the event we rushed to Ram Jhula, we walked down the street for shopping. We visited almost every shop around, we noticed the wooden works, some stones and beautiful idols of gods. We soon reached the Ram Jhula and felt astonished by the rope bridge which is constructed on the river Ganga. It looked beautiful with the lights decorated all over the ropes. It was disturbing on the bridge because the bikes are moving around.

We spent about 2 hours around that place. We posed for the pictures and Sai Kiran has got almost half of the total pictures stored in the camera on his name. We moved to the other side of the river, and looked around for a while. As the place is calm we continued the photo session. Soon the place started to empty as time cool breezes started to flow. The time is around 8:00p.m, the temperature decreased to single digits. We started to feel the coldness and ended the task quickly and moved towards the main road.

Day 4

I woke up in the early morning, the climate outside the room was very cool. Soon everybody got up and we were ready around 8 o'clock in the morning. So we quickly moved to their office.

Soon we reached the location, we moved in and asked about our bookings, the staff informed us that they will call the name and asked us to sit in the Lobby area. We sat in the balcony enjoying the nature, there is already a batch of people who came before us, so we need to wait for a little more time. The cool Breeze coming from the valley made us feel like heaven.

"Vamshi" called the guy, we moved to the office, made our payment and were waiting for our turn to come. We kept all all mobiles and belongings in the locker. They checked our weights and classified us as per our weights. Soon we are given a token and asked to move to the jumping point.

B U N G E E J U M P . . . .

We started to walk along the road to the point they mentioned. We reached the place and awaiting for our turn. We sat in the lobby area, it was Akhil who was called in first as his weight section was free. We started to look into our faces and are feeling tensed. Akhil was ready to jump Sai Kiran was called in.

Akhil has completed his jump, the fear is increasing as one of friend had completed his jump. Next Vijay was called in. Me and Bhanu both looking our faces and laughing, then I was called. I reached the position.

Get set go

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

The crew at the place greeted me and started to tie me with the safety ropes, in meantime Saikiran has jumped. Soon Vijay followed him. Vijay got the best jump among us, he followed the instructions well and dived forward beautifully. Next I was asked to move to the position, as I moved towards I saw the ground from the platform. This was my mistake, as I was feared of heights already my heart started to beat faster, soon I was at the edge of the platform as he told me to jump for the count of three I was scared, and was waiting for him to give me a push. I stopped and asked him for another count, soon he counted 3, I tried to lean forward and jump.....!!

As I jumped I was in another emotion for a couple of seconds, the adrenaline pumped out of me, then I realised that I did it and started to scream loud, this was my best experience of my life. As I was moving downwards, the free falling body gave me the best feel to remember for my life. I have never even dreamed to do such a task, tying ropes to my legs and jumping from a 272 feet height, But at last I have done it Successfully.

It was the craziest thing which I have done ever. As I reached down i was bounced back by the elasticity of the rope, I then realised that "Adventures are not the easy tasks" , After a couple of swings I came towards the ground and I was wondering about the position i was hanging in.

"What if the ropes turned loose or they got cut ??", it was the first thought which I got when I reached the ground. Where they untied me and gave me a badge, stating "I GOT GUTS !!" . Yeah really I have got guts.

I have done the most dangerous jump ever, I have done the biggest bungee jump in India with a breathtaking heights of 83mts. That's why they have mentioned it has the extreme adventure sport. It's really was an extreme ride. Soon I came towards the other people waiting for us, as I moved Bhanu jumped and came to us in no time.

We are gathered together and started to share the experience, now we need to climb up the hill towards the booking office. This was the hectic task for us to climb the 90 metres hill through the jungle. As we moved to the top we stopped for a couple of breaks and reached the place. We started to view our jumps on the screen and feelings are high enough.

We contacted the members for the next ride, as there was some delay we quickly grabbed the food in the lobby, we had burgers as the small meal, and are ready for the next ride.

Soon We were called for the next ride

F L Y I N G F O X . . . .

We collected the tickets and started to move up the hill towards the point. As this path has some good way we climbed up easily, we reached the spot and waiting for our turn. Soon Me along with Akhil and Bhanu are called in to the combined ride.

We were again tied the ropes and Akhil was placed in the middle while I and Bhanu took the the place beside him, and the crew started to work on the machine and on the count we set free, to our excitement we flew with a big scream at speed about 160km/h. As we moved on it was a great feel. The view from the top looked very beautiful, it was 1 kilometre long stretch. As we moved on we got a quick view along the valley. We moved forward, we noticed the otherside of the hill were a small village was located with very small quantity of houses.

It was a lovely ride as Bhanu and me started joking around and Akhil was damn silent as he was fearing himself, we started to pose like the superhero, to the camera fixed to it, and we were commenting around the location. Well and the ride ended on no time as we are dragged back to the point. As we were moving back Akhil was dumb closing his eyes, while we are screaming, shouting and even tried to dance along the way.

As we returned, Vijay and Saikiran went for the next ride. We soon finished the task and moved back the office place for one last time. Waiting for the last ride of the day. And we are given the tickets and we started to the bungee bridge again for,

G A I N T S W I N G . . .

We soon reached the point and again sat in the lobby area waiting for our turn. This time Vijay went for the first ride, followed by Akhil and Saikiran as they decided to swing together, then Bhanu and Me. As I reached the point they received me and tied the safety ropes and I was waiting for the one last jump. As my turn came I was tied to the gaint rope and was released eventually, as I jumped, I was swinging the largest depth, it was an amazing feeling apart from the bungee jumping.

The swing moved to the very last edge of the other hill followed back the tower. This oscillation caused my soul float in the air for a couple of minutes. I was tied to the long rope and was swinging in the river valley at the depth of 83 metres. This experience will never fade out of my mind, these are the best adventures of my life, As the swing stopped, I reached the ground and untied the ropes, soon they gave me the badge and a water bottle.

Soon we gathered around and started to climb the hill again. We were tired just for climbing those hills, and after we reached the place we obtained the video clips of our jumps and they provided the certificates for our dareness. The cost for the video clips was 800 per jump. We purchased two of them for 1200.

And now another couple of adventures were completed and were written in our adventure book. We completed the main asset of our trip and were on the happiest side. Soon we got into the mini bus which droped us back in Rishikesh, as we got down the bus, we quickly had a chat about the food and moved into the local hotel, as the non veg is restricted in temple city we quickly had some snack items.

We started to walk down the roads of Rishikesh, we found so many white people dressed in the indian attire and are living along the place. We soon moved to the Laxman Jhula road. We visited the shops nearby and food stalls where we saw some south indian cuisine like idly, dosa. as we moved in we came across a couple of foreign restaurants, whee a lot of white people visiting that place. Meanwhile we tried noodles and momos at the roadside foodstall. It tasted good.

We found so many shops which consists of currency of various countries, We saw so many different currencies there and Bhanu took a couple of coins, we soon moved towards the bridge and found some scented Dhoop clay, we liked the fragrance and purchased it. We moved to Laxman Jhula.

Soon the food arrived, we picked up the food and came to the room, We grabbed the plates and started to eat, the curries are good but not spicy. We ate the food and packed all the waste in a seperate cover as we can't throw them openly, soon we move to the bed, as we need to wake up very early the next morning. We had a good sleep that night and,

Day 5

We were waken up early by Sai Kiran as we need to move for the sunrise trekking.

K U N J A P U R I S U N R I S E T R E K . . . .

Yes, you heard it right. We are moving to the kunjapuri temple located near the hills, and watch the sunrise from the mighty Himalayas, and Trek down the hills towards the neer waterfalls.

TIME: 6:00 A.M.

As the time was 4 'o clock in the morning, we got up and we finished the bath, and dressed up. As the temperature outside is 4°C , we quickly grabbed our sweaters, gloves and cap. As the vehicle arrived, we came down and got in the vehicle. We were taken to the kunjapuri temple located at the top of the hill. As we reached the temple, it was empty. We are the first people to come here, the temperature started to decrease even more, it went to the minus degree as well.

we slowly moved to the temple, we now need to climb the steps to reach the temple. We started to move up slowly, at some point we found the chai shop. We quickly grabbed the hot chai, which eventually made our body to back to normal state.

Slowly the tourists started to come and the place started to become rushing. We moved up to the temple and the temple was not even opened, so we offered our prayers and started to settle at the position for the beautiful sunrise view. After seeing the posture we quickly reminded the song MORNING STAR .

As if you notice the pictures, the star which is visible at the early hours is actually not the star. It's the planet VENUS. That's why it is called as the morning star.

Soon after the wait, we can see the golden rays of the sun falling on the Himalayan mountain ranges which are located at the longer distances. Those views looked very beautiful, Even the camera cannot fit that view in it. It can only be seen through the human eyes.

Now I saw the view, the orange cherry started to Peirce out of the hills, it was a beautiful phenomenon of watching the sunrise. The view was awesome as I cannot express the happiness caused in me, like I achieved something precious, I won something better. That was the most wonderful scene I have ever seen in my life.

We quickly started our Trek down towards the Rishikesh. We bought a couple of Walter bottles, We walked along the road and moved into the forest. Here we clicked a couple of photos. As the guide instructed us we grabbed some sticks in our hands for the self defence in the forest as well as the support while we climb and come down.

We soon moved into the dense forest area following him, we then passed through the near by villages around, as the total distance of the trek is about 9km, we moved swiftly and used the water carefully.

We moved on, the guide started to explain about the place history, and his experience in Rishikesh. He said that he was also a yoga teacher as well who teaches yoga for the tourists around the place.

As we crossed the couple of villages we noticed a dangerous dog breed in that village. They are wild breed dogs which can even fight the wild animals. As the villages are in the middle of the forest, they will be helpful for peopleto fight wildlings. Akhil who generally fears dogs, it was a big task for him to cross the village. As there is only the small path passing through it. we somehow managed to get him to the otherside.

We saw some delighted views, while we walked, after a couple turns we again noticed a small village with around 10 houses. We crossed the place and entered deep inside the forest area as we can see the water bodies formed by the rain water and the water streams by the hills. We are tiring out, we are losing our energy. But the nature made us to walk.

Soon after the walk for sometime, we entered the empty roads which were used by the local villagers for the transport purpose. there after we climbed down the path and found the flowing water canal by the forest. These waters come from the top of the hills and are the main source of drinking water to the people around here. While Bhanu started to show some skills.

The time is around 9:55 a.m. and we completed almost 65% of our Trek. As we entered the green forestry where the path was going by the water stream, a canal was constructed to control the path of the water stream around the place. we waited as we found a platform to sit, rest our legs across as it was the hell of the ride, we even started to feel the pain, so we waited for the other people to come to us, as they were busy clicking photos. After a some rest we started to move on, as we passed by the valley we were nearing to the waterfalls, we can hear the sounds of the water stream.

The guide instructed to leave the place and we got back the footwear and moving downwards the hill. As for the astonishment the waterfalls still continued downwards and we were amazed by watching the stream. We grabbed the sticks and slowly started to descend the place. This place contains monkeys in maximum numbers, they usually see the people with food and drag them from their hands. They even attack some time.

Jumping from one tree to another, climbing up the mountains, Saikiran feared a lot, as he once got some experience with a monkey.

We finished our meal and swiftly started to leave the place. Our Trek almost came to the end. We walked downstairs to the main road and grabbed the local transport and moved back to the lodge.

As we got down near TAPOVAN, we quickly completed the food in "155 miles from Delhi". As we soon contacted our guide for the vehicle to travel. We quickly got onto the vehicle and moved to the lodge, got the luggage packed and vacated the lodge.

Day 6

Good morning Delhi. . . !

As I leaned on the bed, it was a great feel that made me move to sleep in minutes, after sometime I got up and decided to fresh up. I moved to the bathroom and almost had a 45 minute hot shower. As the hot water made my body pains redempt. Soon I came back from shower and quickly moved to bed. I waked up Akhil as he asked to do so, he went for the bath as well. As the clock ticked 8:30 a.m. I was waken by the alarm and I called others and we moved to breakfast.

The food was almost completed as the breakfast was a buffet. We quickly grabbed the plates and had the food, we had puri, cakes, bread toast with butter, Omelette, had some apple juice and some black coffee.

As we came late, the items have finished or else we would have eaten everything over there. The taste was good.

As we eat

Photo of My travel story' Rishikesh ,.. by Vamshi Krishna

We quickly completed the food and the Vehicle arrived. We sat in and decided to visit the places which are open on that day. We enquired with the driver about the tourist spots to visit on that day. We went to Humayun's tomb.

As we witnessed the first sight of the monument, it was greatly built in the Arabian style, with the red stone. The building has a big platform and the tomb was situated exactly at the centre of the building. As we moved in, the steps were bigger, the height was bigger than normal. As we climbed the platform, we saw the great art work on the tomb, it has a great art work on the walls. As we noticed the area was covered with smog and the visibility of the sky is blurred. With this type of pollution one cannot survive in the National Capital.

He also got a great picture of pegion which moved swiftly form the wall nearby. He showed his skills in capturing the moving bird. That was the fantastic capture of the day.

We next moved to the Sarojini market and had some shopping over there. We bought some sweaters, night wear and some household necessary items. We tried the ice creams from the Mc Donald's near by.

We moved across to the CityWalk mall situated at satwik it took about 45 minutes for us to reach that place. As it was the new year eve, the mall was full of events and we had a quick glance at the mall. It was the India's biggest mall. We noticed some great design in the mall and the time spent there was great. Vijay and Saikiran moved to another block and we miscalculated our locations and went on roaming around the place.

We were traveling along the whole Delhi, we almost covered every part. We saw NCR, Noida, and old Delhi too.

We moved back to the hotel around 9:45 p.m. and Bhanu went with his friend to give him a send off. Soon after, we bought some softdrinks, along with some food from outside. Soon we turned on the T.V and started watching. We also ordered some food from the hotels kitchen.

As the Clock ticked 12:00 we wished ourselves and celebrating the new year.

Soon Sai Kiran slept and so as I too leaned back on the bed after Akhil. Bhanu and Vijay started chit chat for a while. They didn't even slept that night, while moving to other room they turned the heater to 0°C and we waked up at 4 'o clock shivering. We quickly packed our luggage and the vehicle arrived, we checked out of the hotel and moved to the airport.

We reached the airport quickly as there was no traffic. We picked up the luggage and moved into the airport. As we booked the tickets a month before so the fares were normal.

We quickly grabbed the tickets from the counter, checked in the luggage and moved to the waiting area. We had about 45 minutes of time with us. So we moved to the food court and had a coffee shot.

Bhanu and Akhil moved to other side of us. As the staff explained us about the safety measures, as three of us are new to flight we were little exited for the first fly of us. We tightened our seat belts as the flight started to takeoff. As the flight was in the air, we witnessed the sun rise from that height.
