How to reach Kalimpong: To reach Kalimpong by train, you will have to take a train till New Jalpaiguri and from there you can either hire a vehicle, or take a bus up to Kalimpong. The distance from the railway station to Kalimpong is 4 hours. The nearest airport is in Bagdogra, from where you can reach Siliguri and take a vehicle/bus till Kalimpong. Bagdogra is 79km away from Siliguri.
Tip: Accompanying the harsh winters, Kalimpong experiences strong winds during this period which makes travelling all the more challenging. Make sure you carry adequate clothing and keep yourselves well covered at all times.
